Heading Home

Virginia and Ken were up at 4 AM the next morning, Tuesday, March 14. They left the hotel around 4:45 and were dumping their car off at the unattended rental car location by 5:25. Their flight to Miami departed basically on-time at 7.
Ken actually had a window seat which enabled him to get this shot of Abaco Island in the Bahamas as they neared the end of their four hour flight to Miami. Ken and Virginia cleared Customs and Immigration, and a TSA security check, in Miami, and still had plenty of time to get brunch during their 4-hour layover. A delayed departure on their 3.5 hour flight meant they got to Dallas with just enough time to grab a quick dinner before the last leg of the day to Wichita. An Uber was close by so by 11:30 PM local time (1:30 AM Barbados time) they were safely home. Ken will do the arithmetic for you – that’s 19.5 hours since they got up more or less 3,000 miles ago.
